Antonio Volpe Pasini, Vice President of Angel Conservation, was born in Rome (Italy) on July 3 1958. After moving to Milan and attending the International School of Milan he followed his father, mother, brother and sister to Udine in the Northeastern corner of Italy to take care of the family business, a beautiful and world renowned winery. There he graduated at the High School of Classical Studies and then attended the School of Economics at the Università degli Studi di Trieste.

Meanwhile he started (in 1978) his career in journalism, with "Il Gazzettino di Venezia,” one of the top Italian daily newspapers and numerous radio and TV stations. In 1986 Antonio moved to New York, where he worked for the Italian language daily "Il Progresso Italoamericano.” When "Il Progresso" ceased operations he became the foreign correspondent for "Tuttosport,” the second biggest sports daily in Italy and one of the biggest in the world, and for RTL Radio, the top privately owned radio station in Italy (U.S. Politics, Economics, investigative reporting). At the same time he was one of the co-founders of "America Oggi,” an Italian language daily based in NJ of which he is currently the co-vice editor in chief.

Antonio has always been interested in foreign languages and especially in native cultures from around the world - a passion that he was able to develop through his extensive traveling and by living in Hawaii for a few years.
